Clean and Comfortable Living Has to be one of the most important factors when people are looking for a holiday rental. Contemporary colors and clean space is what everyone looks for in a holiday home especially families.
There is nothing worse then a messy home with wall paper and paint peeling off the walls. Comfort is something we all go on holiday for and having a comfortable lounge/living area is essential.
Well Presented PhotosGood quality photos that you place on your website and other holiday rental websites that you have your property listed with is another very simple thing you can do that can have huge effects on your bookings.
If you are as bad as me when it comes to taking photos get a friend with a good camera and a steady hand to come and do a photo shoot for you. Photos that are of high quality show off properties much better than that of poor quality ones. Make sure your property is tidy, clean and add as much lighting to the rooms as possible.
Good Descriptions and InformationWhen describing your holiday home be it on your own website or that of a holiday rental company, be sure to include the important factors. List the types of appliances your property has, does it include air con and/or central heating? Is there a TV or internet access?
Do you offer extra bed changes and cleaning throughout their stay? Describe the local area and the range of restaurants in your town. Add how far away the property is from the nearest airport, beaches or ski resorts etc.
Include a Welcome GiftAs silly as it sounds, if you were to offer a welcome gift when your visitors arrive they will remember it. Try adding a welcome basket with fresh local produce.
Just that extra little gesture makes them feel special and can keep them coming back or recommend you to others.
Offer Extras When people are on holiday the last thing they want is to be with the hassle of booking attractions. Go that extra mile for them and offer to help them out booking tickets and organizing days out for them.
Many holiday makers will not know the local language. Maybe you know of local activities that your visitors would like to take upon. When out and about pick up leaflets and local info papers to put in the holiday home for your visitors to see.
