Berkhamsted Postcard

This is a lovely old postcard of Berkhamsted. This pub is The Crystal Palace which is the pub nearest to the station out of the three canalside pubs. I lived a bit further down the canal at Old Mill Gardens and I walked to the railway station every morning along the canal.

I didn't really enjoy working in London, but it was great to be able to get to Euston Station in just 32 minutes.
Berkhamsted is the first breath of fresh air you get heading north out of London, it really is a great place to be. I miss it. I lived in Berkhamsted between 1989 and 2001 before I moved to Serre Chevalier in France.
